Position Overview

Busy pain management clinic in Westbury, NY seeking a motivated Medical Scribe to work directly with a physician in a high-volume outpatient setting. This role is ideal for pre-med students, gap-year applicants, and international medical graduates (IMGs) preparing for residency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Real-time documentation of patient encounters in EHR
  • Record detailed HPI, physical exams, and treatment plans
  • Assist with procedure documentation (e.g., epidural injections, nerve blocks)
  • Track imaging (MRI, CT, X-ray) and lab results
  • Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely charts
Qualifications

  • Pre-med, pre-PA, or medical graduate (IMGs encouraged to apply)
  • Strong medical terminology knowledge
  • Typing speed 60+ WPM preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic environment
  • Reliable transportation to Westbury/Elmhurst
Preferred

  • Prior scribing or clinical experience
  • Familiarity with EHR systems (Advanced MD)
  • Background in biology, neuroscience, or related field
Schedule

  • Full time only 
  • Typical clinic hours: Monday–Friday
Compensation

  • $18–$22/hour (based on experience)
Ideal Candidate

  • Planning to apply to medical school or residency within 1–2 years
  • Interested in pain management, orthopedics, or neurology
  • Able to commit 12 months
Compensation: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
